AI learning tracks

Every Track Is Built Around a Project You Will Finish

From first Python script to a full AI build with mentorship — there is a track for where you are and where you want to go.

How Modelcraft Tracks Are Structured

Each Modelcraft track follows the same underlying structure: a sequence of modules, each built around a specific task. Before you start a module, a build tile shows you what you will produce, what skills it develops, and how it connects to the next one. This makes it possible to work through the content without wondering whether it is going somewhere useful.

Exercises are designed to produce output — not to demonstrate that you have watched a video. Code blocks run. Datasets are real. When something is unclear, you can ask in the forum and get a specific answer from a mentor who has seen the exercise.

The tracks are self-paced, which means you set the schedule. At the same time, there are checkpoints — points where an assignment gets reviewed, or a session is scheduled — that give the learning a rhythm beyond just moving to the next page.

Build Tiles

Every module summarised before you start it — project, skills, connection to next step.

Forum Access

Questions answered by mentors, not automated replies. Small cohorts keep it manageable.

Assignment Reviews

Submitted work gets specific written feedback — not a score, but notes on what is working and what to adjust.

Standard Tooling

Python, Jupyter, open-source libraries. No custom platforms to learn before you start the real work.

Programming for AI beginner workshop

Track 01 · Foundations

Programming for AI: Beginner Workshop

A beginner workshop covering the programming skills most useful for AI work — Python, working with data, and reading code with confidence. Built around small, achievable exercises with clear walkthroughs. A learning experience aimed at building solid foundations, with no pressure to move faster than the material allows.

  • Python syntax, variables, functions, and loops
  • Reading, writing, and transforming data files
  • Understanding what code does, not just copying it
  • Introduction to NumPy and pandas for data work

How the Track Progresses

  1. 1Environment setup — notebooks, file structure, running your first script
  2. 2Core Python — data types, logic, writing reusable functions
  3. 3Working with data — reading files, filtering, basic transformations
  4. 4Final build — a small data processing script with a written walkthrough

Track 02 · Applied Project

Computer Vision Project Track

A project-based track guiding learners through building image-based models step by step — from preparing datasets to testing results. Includes structured assignments, mentor reviews, and a community of fellow learners. The focus is on practical, portfolio-ready projects that reflect how computer vision work is actually approached.

  • Dataset collection, annotation, and preparation
  • Image preprocessing and augmentation techniques
  • Building and training image classification models
  • Evaluating results and iterating on model performance
  • Portfolio documentation of the completed build

How the Track Progresses

  1. 1Choosing a domain and collecting a usable dataset
  2. 2Preparing, annotating, and splitting image data
  3. 3Building and training a classification model with mentor review
  4. 4Testing, evaluating, and iterating on the model
  5. 5Documenting the project for a portfolio write-up

Track 03 · Mentored Build

Capstone Build & Mentorship

An extended mentorship track where learners plan and complete an ambitious AI build with regular guidance from an experienced developer. Includes one-to-one sessions, feedback on work in progress, and community access. A supportive learning experience focused on helping you see a complex project through to a finished state.

  • Project scoping and planning with mentor input
  • Scheduled one-to-one sessions throughout the build
  • Written feedback on code and documentation
  • Access to the full learner community during the track
  • Final project review and documentation support

How the Track Progresses

  1. 1Project brief and scoping — choosing a direction with your mentor
  2. 2Planning the build — data requirements, model decisions, milestones
  3. 3Building — regular sessions, code reviews, troubleshooting together
  4. 4Testing and evaluation — assessing what works and what does not
  5. 5Final write-up and project documentation

How All Tracks Are Built and Maintained

Exercises Are Tested Before Publishing

Every exercise in a track is run through by someone who did not write it. If the instructions are ambiguous or the code does not execute cleanly, it is revised before going live.

Content Updated When Tools Change

Python libraries and frameworks change regularly. Track content is reviewed on a rolling schedule and updated when a significant change affects how an exercise works.

Learner Data Handled with Care

Submitted assignments and personal information are stored securely and not used for purposes outside the programme. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Plain Language Throughout

Technical terms are explained when they appear. The tracks are written assuming no prior background — clarity is treated as a feature, not an afterthought.

Structured but Flexible Scheduling

Tracks are self-paced with structured checkpoints. This means learners can progress at a pace that fits their schedule without losing the structure that keeps learning on track.

Honest About What the Tracks Are

Modelcraft tracks develop specific, practical skills. We are direct about what each track covers and what it does not — so learners know exactly what they are signing up for.
